Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may close on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African read more citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a nsfas application public university or TVET college in South Africa.
